Multi-touch and Android 2.1 to be integrated in Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10!!

Several Android phones are now moving to Android 2.1 leaving behind the older versions. According to UK mobile phone blogs, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is going to enhanced into Android 2.1 and get multi-touch support, most probably by the second quarter of the year.

Google's Android 1.6 operating system is running in the XPERIA X10. Now, as per the Sony Ericsson's representative’s words, this phone is going to get an Android 2.1 upgrade. And this enhancement is scheduled for the next quarter of this year.

An anonymous source said that there will be an upgradation of multi-touch functionality, and the touchscreen's functions will be limited to hardware. This has been denied by the Sony Ericsson as a rumor. Still, there is a possibility that the multi-touch could be a part of the upgradation.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10's multi-touch updates and Android 2.1 upgrade haven't got any official declaration so far. It is better to wait & watch. Lets hope this move will work positively for the XPERIA X10 lovers or owners.
